I enjoyed the video, however I feel the sea lions/seals and seabirds, plus even the sea weed, earned equal right to the film as the Great White. I found the bit about the sharks not liking the texture of humans interesting though. Very well worded documentary. Later that night the camera man went to a sushi restaurant where he consumed OCTOPUS. The mom looked jealous that her daughter knew them. The open ocean is almost a desert, with nothing to eat and no one to eat is. WHAT.
After failing the floor, he got traumatised and went to the sofa for psychiatric sessions 😐. Some of us who love nature feel so blessed when a wild animal seems to trust us a bit. This wild documentary is simply the best. Please watch if you have time. I would give up my life to have his experience period.
I'm a scuba diver so I expected to like this movie. It is worlds more than what I expected. So wonderfully done and magical. I recommend it to ANYONE.

You can literally see the octopus regaining his colour - very cool. Color AND shapeshifter. Looks like Canadas Prime Minister. I thought this was Punk'd for a second. Too bad our soldiers didn't have this technology. Put on a suit that mimics your background. Like being invisible. Here is a story, of how amazing nature is. How a man, learns so much from this extraordinary kind octopus. Of how that man was saved from depression when he felt he didn't even want to see a video camera, let alone use one. Who then to repay this Octopus, does NOTHING FOR HER! He can't even protect her as she is attacked by a small shark he could have just shooshed away. Who, when the octopus lays dying after hatching her eggs, he can't even show her compassion by picking her up and allowing her to die that way and not slowly eaten by scavengers. His reason for not doing any of those things? He says he didn't want to interfere. Funny how he allows being saved by this animal. Following it for a year taking for himself what he needs to become better. but when it came to giving in return, he wasn't able to. Looks like he missed the most important lesson of all. Compassion. I wonder if dolphins suffer the same question in their minds as they save people from sharks. Do they ask themselves if they should interfere ? So as true to their self-entitlement he must of thought the poor octopus should have felt lucky to be in the presents of his majesty. By all means, see it for the amazing octopus though. but don't say i didn't warn you about the imbecile guy.
To anyone saying it's trying to attack him. It isn't camouflaged. Octopuses attack by stealth and ambush. It isn't enveloping. When they attack, they wrap everything around the target to crush and prevent escape. This is something else. Whether genuine gratitude, insatiable curiosity, or something else we will never it is is a beautiful moment. “When my people attack your world and take over I will protect you, only you”. As a free diver I really appreciate what this man has done with his team the document the life of this amazing animal. Fantastic work to enlighten all of us to what is beneath our oceans. Mom: I just do not believe it! Yoda: That is why you fail.
